Thesis Title: La Cosa Nostra social dialect: sociolinguistic, linguistic and socioanthropological approach

About

My primal interest is social dialects and subcultures of Mobs and Gangs. However, I posses no "bunker vision" and I am no servant of "Idols of the Theater". I see them as a multi-ethnos, with its constituents being of a tribal nature.
Apart from the fields mentioned, my research work covers numerous aspects in linguistics, sociolinguistics, linguistic, sociocultural and symbolic anthropology, linguistic ethnography, folklore and translation studies (anthropologic aspect and translation quality assessment), translation training, and modern literature. I am a strong advocate of Sapir's concept of language being a "symbolic manual for understanding culture". I would be very glad to communicate with all the scientists sharing ideas of anthropological vision of language and speech activity, but I am looking forward to meeting counter-arguments, for the truth is born in dispute.
I also focus on the SELF-ORGANIZATION THEORY and work on its application in the field of social sciences (social anthropology and linguistics).
My post PhD researches are and will be focused on ethnopoetics ("gangsta" rapper songs and language repertoire as the tool to study their social symbolism and their subculture at large). The goal of the research in question is to conduct a holistic survey from standpoints of sociolinguistics, folklore studies, ethnography of communication, ethology, and social anthropology and perhaps to find solutions how to carry out social inclusion of these people. I hope, I will find colleagues among social  and psychologists, who might be interested in such research projects.
